Harford Co. Woman, 41, Killed In Single-Vehicle Wreck

BALTIMORE, Md. (WJZ) -- A Harford County woman is dead after her SUV crashed into a tree near her home in Street early Monday morning, authorities said.

A Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Amy Sue Kahl, 41, was heading east on Mine Branch Road toward Ady Road about 4 a.m. when the SUV veered from the road and struck a tree, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office.

The crash was spotted by a passerby, who called 911 about 6:30 a.m. Deputies said Kahl, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene.

It's not yet clear why the SUV left the road.
