Suspect In Armed Bank Robbery Caught Shortly After Robbery

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A short time after an armed bank robbery Monday morning, police arrested a suspect in the case.

The robbery happened just after 10:30 a.m., at the BB&T Bank in the 1000 block of Gateway Rd. in Edgewood.

The Harford County Sheriff's Office responded, and investigators found that a suspect had gone into the bank, before displaying a weapon and leaving with money.

The suspect's vehicle was spotted a short time later, near Hillswood Rd. in Bel Air.

The suspect was taken into custody, but their identity has not yet been released.

No further details have been released at this time.
