Hagerstown Teen Charged With Raping 13-year-old Girl At Park

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- A Hagerstown teenager has been arrested on charges of raping a 13-year-old girl in September.

The Frederick Police Department says 18-year-old Zachary Crawford turned himself in Sunday after he was featured on the city's most wanted list. A warrant had been issued for his arrest on Jan. 30.

In September, police say a 13-year-old girl reported that Crawford had raped her the previous month as they were hanging out at a park together in Frederick. The following week, police say Crawford threatened the girl and her friends with a knife.

Police are charging Crawford with second-degree rape, second-degree sex offense, first-degree assault and reckless endangerment.
