Hagerstown Man Killed After Losing Control Of Dump Truck

HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- A Hagerstown man has been killed after he lost control of the dump truck he was driving and it flipped upside-down, ejecting him.

Maryland State Police say 73-year-old James Kendle was pronounced dead at the scene of the Wednesday morning accident on Interstate 70 in Hagerstown.

Police say Kendle was driving an unloaded dump truck when it began to skid for unknown reasons. The truck left the roadway, hit an embankment and flipped over. Kendle was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected.

The crash remains under investigation.
