Hagerstown Makes 100-Mile Fitness Challenge

HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- The city of Hagerstown is asking citizens to commit to 100 miles of exercise in 100 days.

The Hub City 100 Miler begins Monday with registration and a 20-minute workout at Fairgrounds Park.

The city says the community challenge aims to inspire and motivate people to become more active, especially in the winter months.

Participants can reach their 100 miles by walking, running, biking, skiing, skateboarding or golfing -- as long as they're getting some exercise.
