Hagerstown Eyes Tougher Juvenile Curfew

HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- The city of Hagerstown is considering a tougher juvenile curfew amid complaints from residents about kids committing crimes.

The Herald-Mail reports that the City Council voted Tuesday to introduce an ordinance raising the curfew age limit from 15 to 16.

Currently, children 15 and under must be inside by 11 p.m. on weeknights and by midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.

The council also approved spending $29,000 for 11 more police surveillance cameras.
