'Guy Fawkes' Robs MoCo 7-Eleven At Gunpoint

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A man donned a Guy Fawkes mask and robbed a Germantown 7-Eleven at gunpoint early Tuesday morning, authorities said.

Surveillance video of the armed robbery released by Montgomery County Police appears to show the suspect with a gun drawn ordering the clerk to empty a cash register -- and then print out lottery tickets.

Officers were called to the 24-hour convenience store, located in the 18700 block of Liberty Mill Road, about 3:30 a.m., according to police. An employee told investigators he had been in the store's office when the gunman entered the store, pointed the weapon at him and motioned for him to open the register.

He got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a man in his 20s, about 5-foot-11 with a medium build wearing an "Anonymous" mask and dark clothing.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at 240-773-5070. Those wishing to remain anonymous can call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County at 1-866-411-TIPS. There's a cash reward of up to $10,000 for tips leading to an arrest.
