Group Home Fire Causes Serious Damages, Displaces 11; All Accounted For
BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Fire crews spent Wednesday morning combing through a two-story group home in northeast Baltimore after a two-alarm fire caused extensive damages.
The early morning fire ripped through the home on Harford Rd. near Aisla Ave.
"Once firefighters arrived on the scene, heavy smoke was showing for the second floor of a two and a half story single family dwelling," said Baltimore City fire spokesperson Blair Skinner.

The Baltimore City Fire Department responded just before 5 a.m. The two-alarm fire caused substantial damage to the home.
"From what we were told," said Skinner. "The home was being occupied and utilized as a group home. And occupied by 11 residents, however, one person hasn't been unaccounted for."
Ten people safely escaped when the blaze first broke out.
Crews then spent several hours searching for the eleventh occupant.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The Red Cross is helping those displaced by the fire.
