Gourmet Meal Startup Launches Delivery Services In Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WJZ) – A Washington D.C. based gourmet meal startup called Galley is launching its delivery services in Baltimore on Tuesday.

The company describes itself as a "new kind of restaurant designed specifically for delivery."

Customers can order online or via iPhone app.

Since its launch in Washington D.C., Galley has grown to serve hundreds of meals a day.

Customers choose a 30-minute delivery window (or they can order on-demand), and servers will deliver meals that are ready to heat, plate and serve within minutes.

Galley meals arrive in a biodegradable container, and all menu options are a flat rate of either $12 or $14, depending on the selection, which includes tax, gratuity and delivery.
