Glen Burnie Man Bound, Bloodied In Home Invasion

GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WJZ) -- An Anne Arundel County man was hospitalized after two men bound, beat and robbed him during a home invasion early Wednesday morning, according to police.

Officers called to a reported home invasion in the 1700 block of Saunders Way in Glen Burnie about 1:30 a.m. found a man bleeding from the face, according to police. The man told investigators he heard a knock on the front door before two men forced their way inside his home.

Once inside, the men demanded money that is owed to them, attacked the victim and tied his legs together, according to police. At some point, one of the men pulled out a handgun.

The pair stole some cash before running from the scene, the victim said. They were not found when police searched the surrounding area.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
