Giant Food Recalls Mislabeled Products That May Contain Peanut

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Attention customers: Giant has issued a mandatory recall.

The food store says select Garden Lites products have been removed from sale because they may contain peanut--an allergen that is not listed on the ingredient label.

The following products are included in the recall:

  • Garden Lites Southwestern Souffle, 7 oz., UPC 70486301720, with an expiration date of 4/5/2016, 5/18/2016 or 5/19/2016
  • Garden Lites Veggie Chili & Cornbread Melt, 7 oz., UPC 70486301726, with an expiration date of 4/26/2016

Giant/Martin's has received no reports of illnesses to date.

Customers who have purchased this product should discard any unused portions and bring their purchase receipt to Giant/Martin's for a full refund.
