Giant Food, Avocados From Peru Team Up To Donate 40K Avocados To Local Food Banks

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Friday is National Avocado Day, and to celebrate, a special partnership has brought more than 40,000 avocados to those in need.
Giant Food and Avocados From Peru teamed up to make the donations to the Capital area and Maryland food banks.
The company said it hopes to make the superfood more accessible to families struggling to make ends meet.
