George Bodenheimer Talks About His New Book 'Every Town Is A Sports Town'

George Bodenheimer is the former President of ESPN, he held that position for a record 33 years.

George joined Ed and Steve to talk about his new book 'Every Town Is A Sports Town'.

George Started off by talking about how he got his start at ESPN and climbing from the mail room to the President saying "well I actually think the mail room was the place to start, I was unsure to take the job at the beginning but my Dad gave me great advice 'make a career decision not a money decision if you want to do sports television take the job'." George also talked about trying to get ESPN in different cities and how working at the network showed him the tremendous hold sports has over this country. Finally George discussed different aspects of ESPN programming and how certain shows have grown and are vital to the success of the network overall as the backbone of the station.
