Funeral Services Announced For City Paramedic Who Fell Ill On Duty

BALTIMORE (WJZ)—Funeral services have been announce for the city paramedic who passed away after falling ill while on duty last week.

Services for Nicholas Hemingway will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at Cathedral of Mary our Queen located at 5200 North Charles Street in Baltimore.

Chief Randy Kuenzli, of the Bladensburg Volunteer Fire Department says Firefighter Nick Hemingway was hospitalized after going into cardiac arrest last Tuesday afternoon while on duty as a paramedic with the Baltimore City Fire Department. Kuenzli reports Hemingway was feeling ill throughout the day before being hospitalized.

Hemingway was a member of the Liberty Heights Fire Department in the city along with other departments including the volunteer department in Bladenburg.

Hemingway graduated the academy in recruit class 14-02.

Immediately following the funeral services, the funeral procession will commence from Cathedral of Mary our Queen to Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery
