Funeral Arrangements Set For Md. Officer Who Died In Crash

LANHAM, Md. (AP) -- Funeral arrangements have been set for a Prince George's County Police officer killed after crashing his cruiser in Lanham.

The viewing for 26-year-old Officer Brennan Rabain will be held between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Borgwardt Funeral Home in Beltsville. His funeral is at 10 a.m. Thursday at Victory Christian Ministries in Temple Hills, followed by his interment at Lakemount Memorial Park Cemetery in Davidsonville.

Rabain's girlfriend told investigators that Rabain was driving her home early Saturday when he spotted a speeding car. She says she thought Rabain, who was off-duty, was about to slow down or pull over that car when he lost control and crashed.

The cause of the crash is under investigation. Police say the dashboard camera in the cruiser was broken.
