Frederick County Medics Medevac Child From Sugarloaf Mountain After Falling
FREDERICK COUNTY, Md. (WJZ) — A child was rescued Sunday afternoon from Sugarloaf Mountain in Frederick County after falling, officials confirmed.
Both Frederick and Montgomery County assisted in the rescue.
Montgomery County spokesperson Pete Piringer tweeted that a 10-year-old child had fallen from the rocks on Yellow Trail after losing their footing on the rocks near the peak of the mountain.
Medevac had rescued the child through "hoist evacuation"

The child was assessed and put into the secure hoisting device, and then taken to the Children's National Center in Washington, D.C. for treatment.
