Frederick County Man Joshua Eckenrode Indicted By Grand Jury For Murder Of Curtis Mason Smith

FREDERICK, MD. (WJZ) -- The Frederick County man accused of planning a mass shooting event has now been indicted by a grand jury.

Nineteen-year-old Joshua Eckenrode was arrested and charged last month initially for the murder of Curtis "Mason" Smith.

But when law enforcement searched Eckenrode's apartment, they found notes alluding to doing more harm on a larger scale.

Smith's father believes his son was killed because he knew what Eckenrode was planning.
