Frederick County Man Caught With Gun At BWI

LINTHICUM, Md. (WJZ) -- A Frederick County man was cited by police at Baltimore Washington International-Thurgood Marshall Airport Wednesday after Transportation Security Administration officers caught him trying to bring a .32 caliber handgun past security.

It's the 16th gun the TSA has detected at BWI this year, two more than what was caught in 2014.

Officers located the unloaded handgun among the Walkersville man's carry-on items as it passed through the x-ray machine.

The TSA notified the Maryland Transportation Authority Police who confiscated the firearm.
