4 Kids, One Of Them Just 9 Years Old, Charged In Playground Fire

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Four juveniles under the age of 15 have been charged in connection to a playground fire in Aberdeen earlier this month.

On August 18, a playground at Victory Street Park went up in flames.  Police suspected the fire was an act of arson, based on the burn marks left after the fire was put out.

After a week-long investigation, police have arrested a 14-year-old, a 13-year-old, a 10-year-old and 9-year-old in connection with the playground fire.

They are charged with first degree malicious burning and malicious destruction of property.

All four kids have been released to the custody of their respective parents.
