Food Delivery Driver Killed In Edgewood

EDGEWOOD, Md. (WJZ) — Detectives with Harford County Sheriff's Office are investigating their first homicide of 2019.

Deputies responded at around 8:30 p.m. to the 700 block of Monticello Court in Edgewood for the report of a shooting Sunday night.

When they arrived, they found a 34-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound on the ground outside the residences. Deputies immediately began life-saving measures, and medics took the victim to the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The victim was identified as Timothy Wayne Youngquist, of Joppa.

Three men were seen running from the crime scene. No suspects have been apprehended yet.

Youngquist was working in the area as a food delivery driver, when he was shot during what appears to be an attempted robbery, police say.

The investigation is ongoing, no further details have been released at this time.
