No People Found In Vacant Building After Police Get Call For Burglary At East Baltimore Liquor Store, Investigation Ongoing
BALTIMORE (WJZ) — No one has been found in the building next to an east Baltimore liquor store after police got a call for a burglary Thursday morning.
There had been reports a person was trying to break into the store and got trapped inside the building next door, which is vacant.
Baltimore Police were called to the 1800 block of N. Gay Street to investigate a possible burglary at around 10:30 a.m.
During the investigation, officers saw a part of the floor in the building had collapsed. Police then called Baltimore City Fire "out of an abundance of caution" to make sure the building was safe and no one needed help, an official at the scene said.
