Flash Flood Watch Canceled For Parts Of Maryland

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A flash flood watch for parts of Maryland has been canceled.

The National Weather Service says numerous showers and thunderstorms capable of producing heavy rainfall are expected to continue overnight. Localized rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are expected.

BWI Airport experienced delays due to thunderstorms Thursday night.

WJZ's Bob Turk says showers will occur through Friday morning. Heavier rain is expected throughout the weekend with the bulk of it coming Friday night into Saturday.

Bodies of water such as rivers and creeks could rise rapidly due to the heavy rain, potentially overflowing.
