First Warning Wx: Rain Early, Snow Mixing Near Dusk

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Spring is right around the corner, and so is the potential for more snow.

Rain will continue through the evening. It will begin to mix with snow Saturday night. Roads will generally be wet, with accumulations restricted to mainly grassy surfaces.

By Saturday night, there will be a lull in the precipitation during the overnight hours. The rain/snow mixture will return by the time Spring arrives on Sunday and continue through the day.

The snow will mainly accumulate on grassy surfaces on Sunday and continue through the day and into the evening hours. It will continue to mix with rain throughout the day as well, before changing over to mainly snow around dusk. Accumulations will be a coating to an inch.

Throughout this event, roads will just be wet. Accumulations will be restricted to grassy surfaces, with the ground still being very warm. The storm system will move off to the north and east during the overnight hours Sunday.
