Baltimore's First Homicide Victims Of 2018 Identified, One Was 16

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The city's first homicide victims of 2018 have been identified by Baltimore Police.

The first, Andre Galloway, was just 16 years old.

Police say Galloway was shot in the neck in the 2000 block of Eagle Street on New Year's Day at around 3:40 p.m. He was taken to Shock Trauma where he later died of his injuries.

The second victim who was fatally shot on Jan. 1 in Baltimore has been identified as 30-year-old Brian Taylor.

Police say officers were called to a parking lot in the 5100 block of Goodnow Road for a double shooting around 5:45 p.m.. They found two men, sitting it a white Infiniti and suffering from gunshot wounds. Taylor was in the driver seat and had wounds on his head and torso. He was pronounced dead a short time later at an area hospital.

The other man in the car, a 36-year-old, had a non-life-threatening injury to his hip.
