First #ArtOfBaltimore Artist Has Work Displayed Downtown

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- You may notice some new art in downtown Baltimore.

The city is working to support local artists through the coronavirus pandemic with the #ArtOfBaltimore campaign.

Hundreds of submissions were received and the first art selected was Mike McConnell, a MICA grad who has worked for more than 30 years as an illustrator, before switching his focus to fine art.

You can see his work in 13 spots across the city.

The campaign will feature new artists every two weeks.
