Firefighters Battle Druid Park Lake Drive Blaze

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Baltimore City firefighters battled a blaze at the 9-hundred block of Druid Park Lake Drive Monday evening.

An eight-story apartment building had visible fire and smoke coming from a first floor apartment. Residents were asked to shelter in place while the fire was extinguished. That took about half an hour.

No injuries were reported. One family was displaced.

Officials estimate there's been $27,000 in damage.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
