Fire Rips Through Baltimore Rowhomes; 3 Families Displaced

BALTIMORE (WJZ)--Three families are now displaced after a fire rips through multiple rowhomes on Monday night.

It happened around 9:00 p.m. in the 3300 block of Paton Ave.

Officials say, upon arrival to the scene heavy fire and smoke was showing from the second floor of a two-story vacant rowhome.

"Unit were able to make entry into the location where they found visible fire trapped in the ceiling on the second floor," said Baltimore City Fire Department Spokesperson Samuel Johnson. "The fire spread to the two adjacent homes next to the original fire building."

Johnson says no one was injured in the blaze.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
