Fire Lieutenant's Funeral Will Draw Large Crowd

BALTIMORE (WJZ) --- A funeral scheduled on Thursday for a Baltimore City fire lieutenant is expected to draw a large number of people and cause delays in traffic.

Lieutenant Bethea died in the basement of a vacant row house from smoke inhalation. His funeral is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 20 at the Cathedral of Mary our Queen. He will be buried at the Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.

The procession from the funeral to the cemetery will begin around 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m.

It will take the following route:

  • Left on Northern Parkway
  • North on Jones Falls Expressway (JFX or I-83)
  • East on I-695
  • North on Harrisburg Expressway (I-83)
  • East on Padonia Road

People are advised to find alternate routes.
