4-Alarm City Fire Knocked Down After Crews On Scene For Almost 24 Hours

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Almost 24-hours after responding to a building fire in downtown Baltimore, Baltimore City Fire crews were finally able to knock down a stubborn fire.

Fire officials say the 4 alarm fire started just after 6:30 p.m. Saturday, at a building in the 300 block of N. Eutaw St.

The last fire truck left the scene just before 6 p.m. Sunday evening.

The four-alarm fire broke out Saturday evening, in a six-story building, formerly the location of the "Tunnel" nightclub in the 300 block of North Eutaw Street.

The flames continued through the night and into the day on Sunday.

The building was vacant, and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
