Fire Burns Middle School In Waldorf

WALDORF, Md. (AP) -- Authorities in Charles County say a fire has burned a number of classroom trailers at a public middle school in Waldorf.

Authorities say the fire at John Hanson Middle School began around 6:15 p.m. Wednesday. Officials say the fire gutted 10 temporary classroom trailers. The main building of the school was not affected.

Lt. Jeff Duer of the Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department says 120 firefighters responded to the fire.

There were no reports of injuries.
