Filmmaker Spike Lee Will Speak At Johns Hopkins Univ. Graduation

BALTIMORE (WJZ)—Filmmaker Spike Lee will be the commencement speaker at Johns Hopkins University on May 18th.

Lee, who is a writer, actor, producer, is most notably known for Oscar-nominated film Do The Right Thing and Jungle Fever, about an interracial relationship; and Malcolm X, a biopic of the civil rights activist, which was nominated for two Oscars.

Officials say about 7,000 Johns Hopkins graduates will be in attendance during the May 18th graduation.

The commencement ceremony will be held at the Royal Farms area. It is not open to the public
