Feral Cat That Closed A Glen Burnie Elementary School Has Been Caught

GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WJZ)-- The feral cat that shut down an Anne Arundel County School on Friday  has been caught.

After several attempts to trap the cat over the Labor Day weekend at Richard Henry Lee Elementary, Animal Control was unable to capture it.

No movement was detected, so it was believed that the cat had left the school building. But before students arrived on Tuesday morning, two teachers discovered cat urine and fur on the floor in a classroom supply closet. Animal Control was informed and was able to confine the cat in the closet.

The cat was safely captured, and no students were harmed in the process.
