Federal Contractor With Top Secret Security Clearance Faces Child Porn Charges

GWYNN OAK, Md. (WJZ)— A government contractor with top secret security clearance has been arrested and charged with possession and distribution of child pornography.

On Sept. 20, a detective with the Baltimore County Police Department Crimes Against Children Unit identified a source that was sharing pornographic images of children.

Detectives served a search and seizure warrant on the home in the 5900 block of Queen Anne Street in Gwynn Oak—recovering a desktop computer and external hard drive that contained images of child pornography.

The investigation has indicated that 34-year-old Roger W. Woods was responsible for the images on the computer devices and that he knowingly and willfully possessed and distributed child pornography.

When detectives arrested Woods, they recovered a tablet computer and cell phone from his car. These items have not yet been examined.

Woods' employer has been notified of the arrest.

At this time, there is no evidence that Woods has had any sexual contact with children.

Woods has been charged with possession and distribution of child pornography. He is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on $350,000 bail.
