Woman Killed In Route 32 Crash, Drivers Identified

WEST FRIENDSHIP, Md. (WJZ) -- A woman is dead following a two-car collision on Route 32 in Howard County.

Howard County Police closed Route 32 northbound at Interstate 70 after the fatal crash. It reopened at 4:44 p.m.

Police said around 12:37 p.m., a Mercedes C300 was traveling southbound on Route 32 when it was struck by a Ford F-250 traveling northbound on Route 32 as it tried to make a left turn onto the I-70 ramp.

The female passenger was pronounced dead on the scene. Bohan Li, a 31-year-old Pasadena woman who was driving, was taken to Shock Trauma for non-life threatening injuries. She has since been released

John Edward Turne, the 46-year-old man driving the Ford, was uninjured.

A preliminary investigation showed the Mercedes failed to yield to the right-of-way when crossing Route 32 on the flashing red arrow. The investigation continues at this time.

All were wearing seatbelts at the time.
