Fatal Accident Involving Bicyclist Under Investigation In Howard County
MOUNT AIRY, Md. (WJZ) -- A fatal accident involving a bicyclist is under investigation in Howard County.
It happened just before 4 p.m. Saturday on Old Frederick Road near Twin Arch Road in Mount Airy.
Investigators say 34-year-old Jacob Thomas Brewer of Alexandria, Virginia lost control in a sharp curve on the roadway and crossed the double yellow lines.
A 2008 Honda Pilot then struck Brewer, who died on scene.
The driver of the Honda, 51-year-old Kenneth Michael Griffin of Mount Airy, was not injured.
Old Frederick Road is closed between Twin Arch Road and W. Watersville Road.
The collision is being investigated.
