Ex-Staffer Sentenced In Leaked Nudes Of Congressional Delegate

WASHINGTON (AP) -- A former staffer of a congressional delegate from the U.S. Virgin Islands has been sentenced in connection with the theft and circulation of nude videos and pictures of the delegate and her husband.

WTOP-FM reports Dorene Browne-Louis, of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, was sentenced Monday in District Court in D.C. to two years of supervised probation and ordered to pay a fine after she and then-co-worker Juan McCullum pleaded guilty to federal cyber-related charges in January.

Documents say Browne-Louis was working in the office of Delegate Stacey Plaskett in 2016 when McCullum told her he'd taken the images off Plaskett's smartphone.

Documents say Browne-Louis helped in sending the images to political leaders in an effort to harm Plaskett's re-election campaign. Browne-Louis is accused of sending at least one of the images to a person who worked for a challenger.
