Ex-Principal Pleads Guilty To Stealing From Student Fund

BALTIMORE (AP) -- The State prosecutor says a former principal at Western High School has pleaded guilty to stealing nearly $54,000 from the school's student activity fund.

Thirty-eight-year-old Alisha Trusty entered the plea Tuesday in Baltimore Circuit Court. Sentencing is set for Oct. 6.

Maryland State Prosecutor Emmet Davitt says in a news release that Trusty used the activity fund debit card and checks buy personal items and pay personal bills.
