Students Remembering Mother, Teacher Killed In Md. Shootings

BELTSVILLE, Md. (WJZ) -- Students are remembering Gladys Tordil, a mother of two and teacher who was killed Thursday in Prince George's County.

The 44-year-old was a chemistry teacher at Parkdale High School, where there's been an outpouring of love and support since her death.

Tordil was shot and killed Thursday picking up her two daughters from High Point High School in Beltsville. Police have charged her estranged husband -- Eulalio Tordil -- with murder.

A favorite among students, Tordil is being remembered as the type of teacher who was always happy, and who would always go the extra mile for her students.

A GoFundMe page has been set up for her daughters, who are preparing for college in the fall.
