'Enforcer' In Violent Baltimore Drug Gang Gets 18 Years
BALTIMORE (AP) -- A Baltimore man who prosecutors say was an enforcer in a violent drug gang has been sentenced to 18 years in prison.
Twenty-six-year-old Antione White -- also known as Twan -- was sentenced Wednesday in federal court in Baltimore. He had pleaded guilty in November to conspiracy to participate in a racketeering enterprise. In exchange, prosecutors dropped a drug charge against White as part of a plea agreement.
Prosecutors say White was an enforcer with the UDH gang, short for "Up da hill." They say he would shoot at rival gangs to protect the UDH territory and committed armed robberies. White also admitted to selling crack cocaine, heroin and other drugs with fellow gang members in the Cherry Hill area.
