EMS Bike Ride Traveling Through Maryland On Way To Virginia

BALTIMORE (AP) -- A group of more than 100 emergency medical service workers is biking through Maryland and on to Virginia.

The National EMS Memorial Bike Ride is stopping Friday at the Babe Ruth Plaza at Camden Yards as part of its seven-day ride. The group, which began its east coast ride in Boston on Monday, will then head to its end point in Alexandria, Virginia.

At Camden Yards, the group plans to read the names of EMS providers who have become sick or injured while performing their duties or those who have died in the line of duty. Baltimore City Fire Department Chief Niles R. Ford is scheduled to participate in the ceremony.
