Wandering Goat Prevents Recess At Elementary School In Carroll County

ELDERSBURG, Md. (WJZ) -- Students at a Carroll County elementary school missed recess Wednesday because a goat was wandering in the area.

Officials say the goat was being very aggressive.

Maryland State Police posted on its Twitter account "GOAT HAVING BAAAAAAD DAY!"  MSP urged folks to be careful and that the goat was on the loose in Eldersburg at Bartholow and Rt. 97.

Officials say Piney Ridge Elementary was not placed on an official lockdown, but students weren't allowed to leave the school for recess.

A music teacher at Eldersburg Elementary School says the school was also put on alert.

Animal Control and Maryland State Police are working together to capture the goat.
