Man Suffers Serious Injuries In Edgewood Stabbing

EDGEWOOD, Md. (WJZ) -- Deputies from the Harford County Sheriff's Office are investigating a stabbing in Edgewood.

The stabbing happened around 12:30 p.m. near the intersection of Route 24 and Edgewood Road.

The victim, Vander Madison, 28, of Baltimore, suffered multiple stab wounds to the upper body. He was taken to an area hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said Madison was walking on Edgewood Road when a man approached him from behind, grabbed his bag and stabbed him before fleeing.

Edgewood Road was closed between Route 24 and Route 40 but has since reopened, officials said.
