Early Morning Fatal Fire in Hampstead

BALTIMORE (WJZ)-- One person has been confirmed dead in an early morning fire in Hampstead, according to State Police.

Fire crews responded to the 2600 block of Hoffman Mill Road around 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

69-year-old Robert Schech was also in the home at the time and was transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Burn Center where he is listed in guarded condition.

The victim who died will be identified later.
