Driver Killed When Pickup Truck, Trash Truck Crash

FORESTVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Prince George's County Police say a woman was killed when the pickup truck she was driving crashed with a trash truck in Forestville.

It happened about 7:15 a.m. Tuesday on Pennsylvania Avenue near Interstate 495, the department said in a news release. Police say 37-year-old Ghada Ahmed of Upper Marlboro had just gotten off I-495 when her pickup truck made contact with a trash truck on Pennsylvania Avenue.

Officers say the truck then struck a pole. Ahmed was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say the trash truck left the scene. Police say the driver might not have known the truck was involved in a collision.

Officers are looking for the trash truck and its driver.
