Driver Hits Drunk Pedestrian In Anne Arundel County

ODENTON, Md (WJZ) – Anne Arundel County Police responded to a report of a pedestrian being hit by a car in Odenton on Saturday night.

The 17-year-old female driver was driving east on Annapolis Road when a man allegedly ran into the street in front of her car.

Friends of the pedestrian said he was chasing a dog that had gotten loose, and that he was also intoxicated at the time.

The pedestrian was later taken to the hospital with serious life threatening injuries, but his critical condition is remaining stable.

Police report that neither alcohol nor speed were factors on the part of the driver.
