Driver Arrested After 4 Pounds Of Marijuana Is Found In Car

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Maryland Transportation Authority Police have arrested a man after, they say, 4 pounds of marijuana were found in a car he was driving on Interstate 95.

It happened Wednesday on I-95 south, just before the Fort McHenry Tunnel toll plaza. Twenty-seven-year-old Curtis Joyeux of Eastover, South Carolina, was pulled over for following another vehicle too closely, police said in a news release.

Officers say the marijuana was found in a duffel bag in the car's trunk. Authorities put the street value of the drug at $10,000.

Joyeux was charged with drug possession, possession with intent to distribute, and traffic offenses.
