10 Families Displaced In Northwest Baltimore Fire

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- In Northwest Baltimore, 39 people are forced out of their homes by a fast-moving fire.

Tracey Leong explains the snowy conditions made it a tough battle for firefighters.

That heavy snow storm and icy conditions made it difficult for firefighters to navigate around the scene.

The fire started in an end unit in the 5100 block of Cordelia Avenue in Northwest Baltimore. It quickly jumped to the next eight units on the street.

The fire was reported just after 3 p.m. It took crews close to two hours to contain the blaze.

In total, 39 people--ten families--were displaced. There are no injuries to report.

Red Cross was on the scene providing assistance.

Investigators are still trying to determine how the fire started.
