Deputy, Md. Man Involved In Fatal Shooting Identified

SUITLAND, Md. (AP) -- The Prince George's County Sheriff's Office has identified the deputy who fatally shot a man after responding to a domestic violence call involving a gun. Prince George's County Police also released the identity of the man who was killed.

The deputy was identified Friday as Kendal Wade.

Wade was placed on leave, per standard procedure.

Authorities say Wade and another deputy were talking to a woman who had called 911 from a Suitland home around 1 a.m. Thursday when a man appeared at the front door and confronted them.

The sheriff's office says Wade shot the man, who died at a hospital. County police say no weapon was found on the scene.

County police, who are investigating the incident, say the man who was killed is 38-year-old Michael Ricardo Minor.
