Deputies: Man Tried To Pry Open Medication Box After Arrest

SALISBURY, Md. (AP) -- A Delaware man has been accused of trying to break into a medication drop-off box while inside a Maryland sheriff's office on a DUI charge.

The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office says 26-year-old Conner S. Bradley of Seaford, Delaware was riding a motorcycle early Saturday morning in Salisbury when he was pulled over and failed a sobriety test.

Authorities say Bradley received a citation, but before leaving he dragged a large metal prescription drop-off box from the lobby into the public restroom and attempted to steal its contents.

Officials say Bradley wasn't able to open the box, which held unwanted medications that had been dropped off for destruction.

Bradley was taken back into custody and charged with attempted theft and malicious destruction of property.

It is unclear if he has an attorney.
