Deputies: Man Charged After Waving Loaded Gun At Employees

FEDERALSBURG, Md. (AP) -- A Federalsburg plant supervisor faces charges after authorities say he waved a loaded gun at employees.

The Star Democrat reports the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office says in a statement that 35-year-old Ryan Walsh, of Seaford, Delaware, was arrested after deputies responded Feb. 18 to the McCarthy Tire plant for a report of a man with a gun.

Authorities say Walsh called a meeting to discuss his dissatisfaction with the employees' production. When the workers walked past his office, deputies say Walsh pulled out a pistol, cocked the hammer and waved it around in an effort to intimidate the employees.

Another supervisor took the weapon and gave it to deputies.

Walsh faces several charges including first-degree assault.

He was released on bond. It isn't clear if he has an attorney.
